Clean Coasts Programme

Clean Coasts Week 2019 is here!

Do Good, Feel Good...

From the 1st June - 9th June volunteers right across the North and South of the island will be taking part in Coca-Cola Clean Coasts Week. It is a week of practical environmental action and is an opportunity for volunteers to work together to help make our beaches and waterways beautiful.

We're joining forces with different community and sports groups throughout Northern Ireland to raise awareness and have a bit of fun- from yoga on the beach to drum circles there's something for everyone!

Organise your own cleanup and receive a free kit - this includes information on planning your event, a limited addition Clean Coasts high visibility vest, a pair of gloves, and bin bags. Your local council may also be able to provide litter pickers and additional equipment (for details check out our Council Contacts page). Please be aware that packs are limited and will be distributed on a first come first serve basis.

This year we have the option for you to collect your kit from a local Centra NI or Supervalu NI store in your area! Simply choose which store you would like to collect from the drop down box when registering your event. Registration for this closes on the 29th May and collection dates are the 30th and 31st May.

Or you can join in an event! Check out our events calendar below:

Last year across the north and south of the island, 3938 volunteers registered for 207 community-based events and clean ups across beaches, rivers, loughs, canals and reservoirs - collecting an incredible 3589 bags of litter, that’s 23 tons – the equivalent of 250 people. Help us make this year even bigger!
