International Coastal Cleanup®

2023 ICC sponsored by Belfast Harbour

For more than 35 years, 17 million volunteers across the world have joined Ocean Conservancy’s International Coastal Cleanup to remove more than 350 million pounds of plastic and debris, all the while recording what they find and helping to inform international research and legislation.

Thanks to funding from Belfast Harbour, Live Here Love Here - the local coordinator for the campaign - will ensure that our coasts and communities can play their part during a global day of action on Saturday 16 September.

Let's protect our sandy shores and marine life together!

#SeatheChange

Find a clean-up that suits you, and let us know where you are planning to attend. See all participating locations at this handy map or in the listings below.

Don’t forget to tag #SeatheChange on social media and download the Clean Swell app to report the results of your good work.

Please note: litter-picks will also take place on the days around 16 September. We are currently confirming more events. If your group or organisation is interested in hosting an event as part of International Coastal Cleanup, then get in touch.
