Back in February it came to light that Rea’s Wood, on the shores of Lough Neagh, was severely littered after the harsh winter storms. Since then many volunteers contacted Live Here Love Here, Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council, the Forestry Service and the Lough Neagh Partnership to offer their support. We had to ensure the water levels had receded and that any dangerous debris was removed from the paths before we could call on the public to come and get involved.
Join us at Antrim Lough Shore Park on Saturday 23rd April at 10.30am, shuttle transport will be provided.
Volunteers will be joined by staff and team members from Forestry Service, Live Here Love Here, NIEA, Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council, Six Mile Water Trust, Lough Neagh Partnership and Tesco Antrim Volunteers must register with Nicola Murray at Keep Northern Ireland Beautiful email@example.com or call
